Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collect necessary documents from members and assist in maintaining well-organized credit files.
· Responsible for spreading operating history, personal and entity financial statements and/or tax returns of borrower, as applicable and required.
· Assist in performing the initial review of current and prospective members by gathering and analyzing their background credit and legal information to validate their credit worthiness and legal standing.
· Assist with loan processing measures as applicable and required
· Perform annual reviews for straightforward assigned loans, as applicable and required
· Monitor loan covenant compliance process for assigned loans to ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements including sending compliance letters when applicable.
· Assist in providing reports on violations of loan covenants and conditions
· Prepare or assist with underwriting and completion of clear and concise Credit Approval Memorandums for straightforward loan requests utilizing a variety of analytical tools.
· Order and appropriately review appraisals on real estate related loans. Update collateral values as necessary.
· Perform special projects, research, and other duties as assigned
· Maintain knowledge of basic principles of commercial lending, as well as appropriate laws, regulations and credit union policies and practices.
· Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner
· Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as credit union policies and procedures.
· Responsible for completion of all required compliance training, as well as completion of ongoing compliance training which may be assigned throughout the year.
Education:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or closely related field; and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of one to three years of experience in member business lending. Background in financial analysis preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
· A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.
· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

· Excellent financial analytical skills with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Proficiency in LoanVantage or similar financial spreading module preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
