Janitorial- Coastal Orange Beach

Job Summary:

The Janitorial team lays the foundation for meeting and exceeding our guest’s expectations by providing a friendly, secure, and clean environment.  Being part of a team of professionals committed to providing top-notch customer service will aid in meeting our goal of guest satisfaction.  

• Provide and maintain a clean environment at all bars, stairs, hallways, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the Coastal property.  This also includes trash pick-up throughout the grounds, on the beach, on and around the boardwalks, and in the parking lots of Coastal Orange Beach
• Cleaning includes but is not limited to, dusting, wiping surfaces, cleaning toilets, emptying trash inside and outside of all locations on the property, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Notify the manager concerning potential liabilities and the need for required repairs to any equipment and possible emergencies that need to be addressed immediately
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors and gates before/after operating hours
• Upkeep in curb appeal which includes potential landscaping and ground maintenance
• Alliance to the Coastal Orange Beach team to always support each other and understand that the guest’s safety is our number one goal
• Maintain Coastal’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
• Engage in genuine interaction with guests to ensure they are having a great experience while visiting
• Operate pressure and power washers (heated water/steam) daily at assigned areas, including stages, common areas, bathrooms, picnic tables, fences, stairs, and any other areas assigned per the daily cleaning checklists
• Lifting trash bags and empty boxes and placing them into a dumpster
• Follow procedures for the proper use and storage of chemicals

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to work in a warm/hot environment
• Ability to multitask and take ownership of the different tasks that are assigned 
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer knowledge; how to send and receive emails
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.  
• Working in a standing position for up to 8 consecutive hours
• Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders   
• Willingness to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

$16 per hour
6am-2pm shift needed
