Description

Our client is seeking an AML/KYC Associate to join their compliance team and contribute to anti-money laundering and know-your-customer initiatives within a financial services organization.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Gather, review, and validate AML/KYC documentation for new and existing customers
  • Initiate comprehensive risk assessments and conduct ongoing due diligence to identify potential compliance risks
  • Monitor and review alerts generated by transaction monitoring platforms; analyze, escalate, and close alerts with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Analyze suspicious transaction patterns and identify indicators of illicit activity
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and create detailed narrative summaries documenting investigation findings and compliance decisions
  • Perform transaction analysis and pattern recognition to detect potential money laundering or fraud activity
  • Support the broader compliance and risk management objectives of the organization

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in AML/KYC, compliance, fraud analysis, or related financial crime prevention roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in KYC onboarding, document review, and due diligence procedures
  • Strong proficiency in alert review, escalation protocols, and SAR documentation
  • Solid understanding of AML regulations, transaction monitoring methodologies, and risk assessment frameworks
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify suspicious patterns and document findings clearly
  • CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
