Job Summary

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Onsite | 10 Members Way, Dover, NH

Join a collaborative, mission-driven team that is transforming lives through compassionate, comprehensive care. The Center for Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery supports patients through every stage of their health journey, offering weight loss surgery and obesity medicine programs designed to help patients build healthier futures.

Our multidisciplinary team includes bariatric surgeons, advanced practitioners, certified nurses, registered dietitians, and behavioral health counselors who work together to prepare patients physically and mentally for surgery, support preoperative weight loss, and address long-term wellness needs. As an accredited program through the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, we are committed to delivering exceptional care, guidance, and support.

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to join our Bariatric Surgery and Weight Management team onsite, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working as a trusted clinical partner, building strong patient relationships, and contributing to a supportive, team-based environment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work to the top of your education and certification while collaborating closely with nurses, providers, and other members of the care team. Medical Assistants rotate in support of multiple providers, offering exposure to different clinical styles, opportunities to expand skills, and the chance to deepen knowledge in bariatric surgery and obesity medicine.

What You’ll Do
• Support efficient patient flow throughout the practice, with an anticipated visit volume of approximately 20 patients per day.
• Assist during office visits, including chart preparation, rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.
• Perform clinically appropriate patient panel management tasks, including phone calls, test results, prescription refill support, and care coordination.
• Maintain neat, clean, organized, and safe patient care areas.
• Interact with patients and families in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner that supports their individual needs.
• Partner with nurses, providers, and fellow team members to create a positive care experience for every patient.
Why You’ll Love This Role
• Be part of a highly collaborative care team focused on meaningful, life-changing patient outcomes.
• Gain exposure to bariatric surgery, obesity medicine, nutrition, behavioral health, and long-term patient care.
• Develop your clinical skills while working with multiple providers and care team members.
• Enjoy a predictable weekday schedule with no weekends listed for this role.
• Contribute to a patient-centered program recognized for quality care and comprehensive support.

Please note: While we do our best to keep employees in their assigned practices and locations, team members may occasionally be asked to float to other departments within the WHP system when appropriate and needed for cross-coverage during staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances.
