As a Security Guard - Transit in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and staff. - Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transit facilities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, bus stops, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or special events, and provide directions or general information when appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to site contacts, dispatch, and emergency responders as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
