Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Operations in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with store personnel and visitors, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
