The MI Commercial Data team champions data integrity and governance across the revenue lifecycle. Our mission is to deliver timely, reliable commercial data that empowers revenue teams with actionable insights to improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and customer engagement. We lead data management initiatives within the Commercial Organization and collaborate with stakeholders to drive efficiency in revenue operations.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Data Associate, you will support the Commercial Data team by building and enhancing Power BI dashboards that improve data transparency, data quality monitoring, and decision‑making across key commercial workflows. You will gain hands‑on experience working with real commercial datasets such as Contacts, Users, Opportunities, and Quotes, while also contributing to data governance through structured documentation. This role offers practical exposure to data extraction, transformation, validation, visualization, and enterprise‑level reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for data correction, cleansing and quality assurance of data collected and processed in salesforce.
Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards
Perform basic data validation and reconciliation to ensure dashboards reflect trusted and reliable data.
Serve as a data quality resource and point of contact for managing data issues, doing root cause analysis and proactive data quality checks to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Use and transform commercial and Finance data to produce descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses.
Working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Perform and understand data extraction and analysis from various sources. (Salesforce.com, SQL, etc.)
Follow established data governance, documentation, and reporting best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Fresher or up to 6 months of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of data analysis and statistical concepts with the ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, charting, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
Hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
Strong understanding of data modelling, data transformation, DAX, and reporting best practices.
Knowledge of SQL and/or SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language); experience with data warehouses and reporting platforms is preferred.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and business opportunities through data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
