As a Commercial Finance leader of a $1.4B division, you will serve as the strategic finance business partner to the Senior Director, Global Sales Excellence, while supporting the Services Connected digital platform. Reporting directly to the VP Finance, Instrument & Enterprise Services (IES), this highly visible role will partner with commercial and functional leadership to improve commercial performance, strengthen financial rigor, and accelerate profitable growth.
The Senior Manager, Commercial Finance will play a key role in transforming commercial finance into a proactive, data-driven organization by improving forecasting, commercial analytics, pricing insights, sales productivity, and financial decision support.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Performance & Business Partnership
· Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Senior Director, Global Sales Excellence and leadership team.
· Provide financial leadership supporting commercial strategy, sales effectiveness, and revenue growth initiatives.
· Partner with Commercial Excellence to improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline visibility, sales productivity, and commercial execution.
· Deliver actionable insights on commercial performance, customer profitability, pricing effectiveness, discounting, installed base, and revenue opportunities.
· Challenge business assumptions and influence strategic decisions through fact-based financial analysis.
Digital Platforms
· Provide financial leadership for the Services Connected digital platform, including recurring revenue, customer adoption, profitability, and investment analysist
· Monitor business performance against strategic objectives and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
· Develop financial models supporting digital transformation, automation initiatives, and customer experience improvements
Planning, Reporting & Process Excellence
· Partner with the commercial and finance teams to lead the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes across assigned commercial functions.
· Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, commercial reporting, financial governance, and management operating rhythms.
· Develop standardized KPI reporting and executive dashboards supporting commercial decision making
Leadership
· Build commercial finance capabilities through stronger business acumen, financial modelling, storytelling, and analytical skills.
· Influence across a highly matrixed global organization while building trusted partnerships with Commercial, Customer Care, FP&A, Marketing, IT, and Operations
· Champion a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
· A degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably an MBA, CPA or CMA certification.
· 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally supporting commercial organizations within a global company
· Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, commercial analytics, pricing, profitability analysis, and business case development
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level recommendations.
· Strong communication and influencing skills with experience supporting senior leadership
· Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive organizational change.
· Self-motivated; bias for action
· 10% travel requirement
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
