At Avantor, we're looking for a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to help us optimize our manufacturing operations in Hillegom. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys overseeing the bigger picture of a production process, while at the same time paying close attention to the details that make the difference between a good process and an exceptional one.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will work alongside production teams, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently.

A major part of your role will be creating and maintaining batch record templates. These documents describe, step-by-step, how production teams manufacture our final products and are essential for ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.

You will also:

• Create and improve manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Support daily manufacturing operations and help resolve operational challenges.
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor and cleanroom teams to assess and improve production processes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Support the development and implementation of tooling and production aids.
• Drive improvements related to technology, ergonomics, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support training activities and help establish best practices across the department.

• Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, process engineering, or a similar environment.
• Experience with technical documentation, work instructions, or manufacturing procedures.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Dutch

Deze rol is ideaal voor iemand die graag het overzicht bewaart over langere productieprocessen en energie krijgt van het soepel laten verlopen van iedere stap. Je hebt oog voor detail, werkt nauwkeurig en begrijpt het belang van duidelijke procedures en kwaliteitsstandaarden. Tegelijkertijd ben je flexibel genoeg om mee te bewegen wanneer situaties daarom vragen.

Wat ga je doen?

In deze functie werk je nauw samen met productie-, kwaliteits- en operationele teams om ervoor te zorgen dat onze productieprocessen efficiënt, consistent en volgens de hoogste kwaliteitsstandaarden verlopen.

Een belangrijk onderdeel van je werk is het opstellen en onderhouden van batch record templates. Deze documenten beschrijven stap voor stap hoe onze producten worden geproduceerd en vormen een essentiële basis voor kwaliteit, veiligheid en compliance.

Daarnaast houd je je bezig met:

• Het opstellen, beheren en verbeteren van productie- en procesdocumentatie.
• Het ondersteunen van dagelijkse productieactiviteiten en het oplossen van operationele uitdagingen.
• Het nauw samenwerken met de Production Supervisor en cleanroomteams om productieprocessen continu te verbeteren.
• Het toepassen van Lean Six Sigma-methodieken om efficiëntie te verhogen en verspilling te verminderen.
• Het analyseren en optimaliseren van werkstromen en productieprocessen.
• Het ontwikkelen en implementeren van tooling en productiemiddelen.
• Het realiseren van verbeteringen op het gebied van technologie, ergonomie, kwaliteit en efficiëntie.
• Het samenwerken met afdelingen zoals Productie, Quality, Engineering en Operations.
• Het ondersteunen van trainingsactiviteiten en het delen van best practices binnen de organisatie.

• Ervaring binnen een productie-, operations-, manufacturing- of procesgerichte omgeving.
• Ervaring met technische documentatie, werkinstructies of productieprocedures.
• Kennis van Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement of Operational Excellence is een pré.
• Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om verschillende stakeholders mee te nemen in verbeteringen.
• Ervaring binnen een gereguleerde omgeving, zoals farmacie, life sciences of medical devices, is een pluspunt.
