Role Summary:
Duration: SEPT 14 - SEPT 21 '2026
PTW is looking for 3rd & 4th Year Electrical Apprentices and Journeyperson Electricians to join an 8-day OSB Mill Shutdown near Slave Lake, AB.
This is a great opportunity to earn overtime in a fast-paced industrial environment while supporting critical shutdown work.
- 8 straight days of work
- 8 regular hours + 4 OT hours daily
- Travel allowance provided $250
- LOA included $220
- Industrial construction and maintenance experience required
- Mill shutdown experience considered a strong asset

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and contractors on site.
- Complete required documentation, work orders, and reports.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Valid Apprenticeship or Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical construction with Mill experience
- Valid Fall Protection, Standard First Aid , AWP/EMP, CSO, ESTS
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
RATES:
- Journeyperson Electrician: $45.00 - $55.00/hr
- 4th Year Electrical Apprentice: $36.00 - $46.75/hr
- 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice: $31.50 - $38.50/hr
- Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
