About the opportunity
Perioperative Services at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg is recruiting experienced perioperative registered Nurses to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Perioperative, Intraoperative or Preanesthetic Nursing, in collaboration with Deakin University.
Semester one teaching period begins in February 2027
Experienced preceptors and Clinical Educator support provided within a supportive working environment, dedicated to women’s’ health.
By joining our team, you will develop a strong clinical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive high quality care
What you’ll bring
Current unrestricted registration as RN Division 1 with AHPRA
A minimum of 12 months peri-operative experience essential
Proven ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively within the team
Critical thinking ability and demonstration of prioritising patient care
Evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
