Join Micron Technology as a Senior Facilities Tools Install & Layout Engineer, where your expertise will drive world-class solutions for our brand new projects. You will use advanced AI-enabled tools and work with diverse teams to ensure flawless execution and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and optimize equipment and facilities layout plans to ensure compliance with space planning, utilities capacity, safety clearance, and operational efficiency requirements.
- Coordinate multi-discipline layout integration, including electrical power, lighting, data/network, CDA, PCW, exhaust, fire protection, and instrumentation systems in alignment with project scope and development standards.
- Lead and coordinate machine hook-ups, relocations, floor markings, and facility-related projects to ensure operational readiness and safety. Act as the central technical liaison between operations, contractors, equipment vendors, and management.
- Manage facility capacity planning using the FCPS to ensure utilities are sufficient to support business demands. Assess capacity impact, identify risks, and recommend mitigation or optimization strategies to prevent overloads and disruptions.
- Apply AI-enabled space planning, digital twin, and simulation tools to optimize tool layouts, utility routing, workflow efficiency, and future expansion scenarios.
- Leverage AI-powered dashboarding and visualization platforms to monitor facility utilization, capacity trends, project execution progress, and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with Digital Transformation, IT, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams to implement smart facility solutions, Industrial IoT (IIoT), and AI-based decision support systems.
- Support development and implementation of digital twin models for facilities systems, tool installations, and layout visualization to improve planning accuracy and reduce project risks.
- Drive automation initiatives for layout management, document control, capacity planning, and engineering workflows through AI, scripting, and digital technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven project management skills (PMP).
- Ambitious and ability to multi-task and balance dynamic priorities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative great teammate.
- Ability to participate in a multi-functional team environment.
- Good proficiency in AI tools and AI-enabled ways of working to improve efficiency, productivity, and decision-making
