Our Clinical Scientist is primarily responsible for providing scientific assistance and support for the Sarah Cannon Medical Directors and study teams who oversee trials conducted by SCRI. Your key responsibilities will include providing clinical, therapeutic and scientific expertise to the study team, supporting the creation of trial deliverables, and ongoing medical data review with a specific focus on patient safety and efficacy to ensure that the data is coherent, complete, and accurate so that it is suitable to meet study deliverables. You will follow standard operating procedures, ICH-GCP, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
This is a remote position based in the US; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Serve as the scientific point of contact for the study team on both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials
Collaborate with medical writing during the development of clinical study protocols and attend protocol development meetings
Perform medical and scientific review of clinical study protocols, informed consent forms, investigator brochures, case report forms, clinical study reports, TFL shells, TFLs, and other study documentations and publications
Perform medical data review and assessments of safety and efficacy data
Scientifically review clinical research data including patient demographics, medical and disease history, concomitant medications, laboratory values, adverse events, disease response verification, and overall review to enhance data quality
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications needed include:
Bachelor’s Degree (4-year program) required
Minimum 2+ years of experience analyzing data and science in clinical research and/or laboratory-based research or within the pharmaceutical or CRO environment
Prior work experience in a highly-detailed role such as nursing or scientific research
Prior work experience in a collaborative environment taking initiatives when needed such as process improvement
Preferred Experience includes:
Experience in oncology clinical research and/or oncology-focused laboratory-based research
Familiarity with medical data review is preferred
