Summary: High Focus Centers in Norwalk is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. At High Focus Centers in Norwalk we are currently seeking an Art Therapist to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals! As an Art Therapist you would provide therapeutic experiential services and behavioral health treatment interventions to individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services. This role facilitates experiential therapy activities designed to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, coping skill development, communication, recovery engagement, and overall therapeutic growth. Additionally, you would have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members to integrate art therapy interventions into individualized treatment planning and support recovery-oriented care in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and professional standards.

- Hourly Rate: $55.00/hour - $75.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate experiential therapy groups and therapeutic activities designed to support emotional processing, coping skill development, communication, self-awareness, and recovery engagement.
- Develop and implement experiential interventions appropriate to the needs of the client population and treatment program.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members regarding treatment planning, client progress, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, group documentation, treatment plan input, and other required records.
- Monitor client participation, engagement, and behavioral responses during experiential activities and respond appropriately to crisis or safety concerns.
- Provide psychoeducation and therapeutic support to clients utilizing trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, structured, and recovery-focused treatment environment.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, supervision, trainings, and quality improvement activities as required.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership regarding programming needs, supplies, scheduling, and experiential therapy initiatives.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Licensure/Education/Experience
- CLAT Clinical Licensed Art Therapist with board certification (ATR-BC)
