Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Our Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Emergency Department for a 13-week travel assignment supporting emergency nursing services in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in caring for patients across varying ages and acuity levels, including emergency medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, neurologic, and OB/GYN presentations.
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Job Type: Travel Contract – 13 Weeks
Compensation: $36 – $41 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, generally 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; schedule varies
Key Responsibilities
· Provide safe, competent emergency nursing care to patients across varying ages and acuity levels.
· Perform patient triage and determine appropriate acuity levels.
· Develop and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process.
· Care for patients presenting with multiple injuries, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, OB/GYN emergencies, and other medical and surgical conditions.
· Rapidly assess and adapt nursing care based on changing patient conditions.
· Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
· Utilize clinical information systems and patient-care technology effectively.
· Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement and clinical readiness activities.
Required Skills & Experience
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
· Active Georgia RN license in good standing without limitations.
· Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department specialty experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience following orientation or residency.
· Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
· Current NIHSS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
· Prior travel assignment experience.
· Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, generally 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
· Strong clinical judgment, communication, and emergency nursing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· BSN degree preferred.
· National certification in a clinical specialty preferred.
Additional Requirements
· This is a travel-only assignment; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location.
· Floating is optional.
· No on-call requirement.
· Candidates must be available for the full 13-week assignment
