Co-Op, IT Support Professional Spring 2027

Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a motivated IT Support Co-Op to assist with day-to-day technology operations and help improve user productivity across the organization. This position is ideal for a current student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. The successful candidate will support local operations while also contributing to enterprise-wide IT initiatives for employees and contractors.

This assignment is for the Winter/Spring 2027 term (January through early May, full-time). 

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily technical support for workplace information and communications systems, including Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office Suite).
• Assist with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and workstations, including basic network and system issues.
• Help maintain data integrity and file system security, including managing permissions and access in Microsoft 365 under guidance.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
• Support research and provide recommendations for hardware and software solutions aligned with organizational needs.
• Assist with ongoing IT infrastructure and technology projects as assigned.
• Help deliver basic training and guidance to users on common applications and tools.

Compensation Range: $18.24 - $20.27 per hour

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab, Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for Co-Op students residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• General understanding of Windows-based systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, and VPN).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Active Directory concepts.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
