We are seeking an experienced and strategic EHS Head to lead Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) for the Lonza Nansha site.

This role is responsible for driving EHS excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening the site's EHS culture, and supporting business growth through effective risk management and operational leadership. The successful candidate will serve as the senior EHS leader for the Nansha site, partnering closely with site leadership and global EHS teams to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities

EHS Leadership & Governance

• Lead and drive the site's EHS strategy, programs, and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations, permits, and Lonza Global Standards.
• Maintain and continuously improve the site's EHS management system and governance framework.

• Monitor EHS performance and drive continuous improvement through proactive risk management.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Lead EHS audits, regulatory inspections, and interactions with relevant authorities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Maintain site audit readiness and compliance performance.
• Lead process safety management, risk assessment, and incident prevention programs to ensure safe and reliable operations.

风险管理与合规运营

Project & Contractor Management

• Provide EHS leadership for new construction, expansion, and facility modification projects.
• Ensure effective contractor safety management and site security management.
• Support EHS permitting and regulatory approval activities.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing EHS team.

• Promote knowledge sharing and best-practice implementation across the site.

• Support the implementation of Lonza global EHS strategies and standards at the site level.

Qualifications & Experience

任职资格

Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related discipline.

教育背景

• 环境工程、安全工程、化学工程、职业健康或相关专业本科及以上学历。

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries.
• At least 8 years of experience in EHS leadership, manufacturing management, or operational leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading teams of 10+ employees and managing managers or senior professionals.
• Experience supporting complex manufacturing or regulated production environments is strongly preferred.

工作经验

• 10年以上化工、制药、生命科学或相关行业工作经验。
• 8年以上EHS管理、生产运营管理或相关领导岗位经验。

Technical & Leadership Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Chinese EHS laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk management.
• Proven track record in EHS audit management, regulatory inspections, and compliance programs.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations, capital projects, or complex operational environments.
• ESG and sustainability project experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Fluent Mandarin and business English proficiency required.
