Job Description
Account Executive
Location: Boston or New York City
Business Unit: SS&C Intralinks, Alternative Investments
SS&C Intralinks is a leading financial technology provider trusted by organizations around the world to securely manage and execute their most critical business transactions. For more than 25 years, Intralinks has supported the global M&A and alternative investments communities, connecting dealmakers and enabling the secure exchange of information across complex, high-stakes transactions. Today, Intralinks is helping shape the next generation of dealmaking through DealCentreAI, our AI-powered platform built to support and streamline the M&A transaction lifecycle. DealCentreAI brings purpose-built AI directly into the transaction workflow, helping deal teams work more efficiently, accelerate diligence and reduce manual effort throughout the deal process. SS&C Intralinks is part of SS&C Technologies, a global financial services and healthcare technology company with 27,000+ employees across 35 countries and approximately 20,000 financial services and healthcare clients worldwide.
About the Role
SS&C Intralinks is seeking an Account Executive focused on driving adoption of DealCentreAI across the Private Equity market. This role is specifically focused on helping Private Equity firms modernize and standardize how they manage transactions using DealCentreAI.
The role combines strategic expansion within existing Private Equity relationships with new business development. You will work to build relationships with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents and other key stakeholders, identify upcoming transaction activity and position DealCentreAI across a range of use cases including buy-side and sell-side M&A, secondaries, refinancing and other strategic transactions.
Within existing clients, you will be responsible for expanding relationships across the firm, developing champions, identifying new use cases and driving broader standardization on DealCentreAI. At the same time, you will identify and develop net-new Private Equity relationships, introducing DealCentreAI to firms that do not currently work with Intralinks and building those relationships from the ground up.
This is a consultative, growth-oriented sales role for someone with strong financial acumen who understands how Private Equity firms and deal teams operate. The ideal candidate is intrinsically motivated, competitive and intellectually curious, with a natural drive to build relationships and engage senior financial professionals in meaningful conversations around M&A, technology and the evolving role of AI in dealmaking.
Why Join SS&C Intralinks
This is an opportunity to join an established leader in financial technology at an important point in the evolution of how transactions are managed and executed.
You will play a direct role in bringing DealCentreAI to both established Intralinks relationships and new Private Equity firms, helping deal teams rethink traditional transaction workflows and leverage AI to execute deals more efficiently.
The role provides exposure to senior Private Equity professionals, complex financial transactions and an evolving technology landscape, while giving you the opportunity to build strategic client relationships, win new clients and directly contribute to the growth and adoption of a key SS&C Intralinks solution.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive DealCentreAI adoption across existing Private Equity clients while building a pipeline of net-new firms.
- Build relationships with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents and other key stakeholders across Private Equity deal teams.
- Develop a deep understanding of target firms, including their investment strategies, transaction activity, key stakeholders and existing deal processes.
- Identify opportunities to expand DealCentreAI across deal teams, strategies and use cases, with the goal of driving broader adoption and standardization within existing clients.
- Prospect into and develop relationships with net-new Private Equity firms, creating opportunities through thoughtful, targeted business development.
- Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand client workflows, priorities and challenges and connect those needs to the capabilities of DealCentreAI and our other offerings.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate the business value of DealCentreAI and our suite of offerings to Private Equity professionals.
- Develop internal champions and build multi-threaded relationships across target firms to create deeper, more strategic partnerships.
- Stay informed on Private Equity, M&A, financial markets and emerging AI trends to bring relevant insights into client conversations.
- Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution positioning, negotiation and contract execution.
- Maintain a strong pipeline and accurate forecast through Salesforce.
- Meet agreed monthly and annual performance expectations across client activity, pipeline development and quota achievement.
- Collaborate across SS&C Intralinks and the broader SS&C organization to bring the right expertise and resources into client engagements.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of quota-bearing sales experience, preferably within SaaS, financial technology, financial services or another relevant technology environment.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand and confidently discuss financial transactions and business strategy.
- Knowledge of Private Equity, M&A and the broader financial services industry.
- Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and an interest in how AI is changing financial services and dealmaking.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior-level clients and develop credibility with sophisticated financial professionals.
- Strong prospecting and new-business-development capabilities, with the ability to create opportunities within both existing and net-new accounts.
- Ability to think strategically about accounts, identify new stakeholders and use cases, and expand relationships across an organization.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, commercially relevant way.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities and sales cycles simultaneously.
