Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
