The Application Engineer on the Siteworks team serves as a technical expert and critical liaison between Engineering, Sales, Customer Care, and Drafting. This role focuses on supporting siteworks products through drawing review, product sizing, customization, construction plan analysis, and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate combines strong technical competence with a practical, customer-focused mindset to enable successful project outcomes from concept through execution.
Key Accountabilities
Aids in the technical support for legacy products, reviewing tolerance stack-ups of proposed design changes from manufacturing/quality/vendors, and performing supporting tasks such as design transfer reviews.
Size, specify, and troubleshoot Siteworks product solutions to meet project performance, load, and installation requirements.
Design and support customized product solutions for unique or non-standard customer applications.
Provide technical engineering support to Sales and Customer Care teams, including application guidance, technical documentation, and problem resolution.
Review and interpret site plans to provide product recommendations
Assist in resolving field issues by analyzing installation challenges and providing corrective recommendations.
Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring application challenges and contributing to product or process enhancements.
Maintain clear documentation of engineering decisions, approvals, and custom designs.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3-5 years of experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, (Power Point, Excel, Word, Access)
Proficiency in CAD or drawing review workflows (AutoCAD experience is a plus).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Customer Driven Sense of Urgency.
Must have ability to lead, train, and drive change.
Self-motivated individual able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with trench drain systems, stormwater management, interceptors, or site infrastructure products is a plus.
