THE JOB:
The Security Sergeant is responsible for direct supervision of the Peace Officers. They are also responsible for overseeing the video gaming floor and simulcast area, customer and employee security and safety. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the company are firmly and fairly enforced.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Assists with staffing, supervision, training, and scheduling of Security Peace Officers.

• Responsible for supervising Peace Officers on assigned shift.

• Assists the Lieutenants in developing, scheduling and directing the security staff.

• Implements systems to ensure compliance with federal, state and company rules and regulations.

• Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the company patrons and employees.

• Instructs customers and employees regarding the location of emergency and medical equipment.

• Notifies lieutenants of any unusual occurrences.

• Responsible for the detention of persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying law enforcement and/or state gaming officials.

• Controls and maintains company-wide key controls throughout the property while on duty.

• Directs Security personnel to specific assigned duties and/or special assignments as needed.

• Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in security in a similar setting

• Valid Driver's License

• Must be able to work long hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay Rate

The rate for this role is:

$36.82

Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
