About this Position
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our Mutual Fund Department.This posting reflects an existing vacancy within the organization.
Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Review, research, and resolve PFSL inquiries received from clients and representatives
• Contact representatives and fund companies to obtain information and support documentation related to client accounts
• Prepare and submit Letters of Indemnity to fund companies to facilitate account corrections and adjustments
• Prepare and submit instructions to fund companies for non-financial transactions
• Follow up with fund companies to ensure requested corrections and adjustments are completed within appropriate timelines
• Document investigation steps, actions taken, and final resolutions, and ensure completed inquiries are properly closed and records are scanned and retained
• Prepare preliminary fund loss calculations, where required
• Provide support to Canada Securities Turbo Team
• Monitor and respond to inquiries received through emails
• Prepare supporting documentation for the issuance of adjustment and reimbursement cheques
• Work closely with the Legal and Field Management departments on inquiries requiring additional review or escalation
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of inquiries
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
▪ Post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through related work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt changes in procedures or policies, quickly and efficiently
▪ Excellent organizational & time management skills with the ability to multi-task, continuously prioritize workflow and meet deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment
▪ Able to work with various key personnel and management
▪ Cooperative and professional attitude
▪ A high-energy self-starter and shows initiative
▪ Able to thrive in a team environment
▪ Advanced knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
▪ Bilingualism would be considered an asset
