Job Description

8 Month Fixed Term Contract - quick turnaround!

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the world. Our clients look to us for trustee, agency, escrow, document custody and money market issuing services via our 48 domestic offices and three international offices.

We have an urgent requirement for someone to join our dynamic CLO Middle Office team as a Loan Closer on an 8 month Fixed Term Contract initially, supporting key clients and their CLO funds. It would be great if the successful candidate had some knowledge of loan closing but we can also consider a recent graduate with internship or work placement experience in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engage with trade Counterparties to receive and review par and distressed trade legal documentation requiring knowledge of transfer documentation including funding memos, netting letters, participation agreements, transfer certificates and trade fee calculations.

  • Coordination with counterparties and agents to come up with a mutually acceptable settlement date.

  • Research trade breaks between the trade platform and the trade tickets provided by Collateral Managers.

  • Interpret Credit Agreements when reviewing trade docs

  • Coordinate closing of syndicated and privately negotiated loans

  • Initiate and coordinate trade settlement process with ClearPar and Non-Clearpar (Paper trades) both LMA and LSTA docs

  • Daily deal reconciliation and creation of daily client deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of direct Loan Closing experience and the ability to interpret Credit Agreements when reviewing trade docs / or CLO Middle Office experience

  • Knowledge of ClearPar and LMA /LSTA documentation

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills

  • Strong customer relation skills, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Attend client meetings

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Office location - Cherrywood

  • Working Model – 3 days in the office expectation
