Job Description:

The Business ARC Senior Analyst is part of Castrol Mexico’s Accounting, Reporting and Control (ARC) organization and is responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in driving operational improvements, analyzing financial performance, strengthening controls, and providing business insights that support effective decision-making across the organization.

Job Summary

• Apply accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Support and optimize accounting processes and financial operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Conduct business process control reviews to identify control gaps, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, employing analytics, automation, and digital tools to enhance business processes.

• Prepare, validate, and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.

• Ensure internal control and compliance frameworks are effectively implemented, monitored, and maintained.

• Apply data analysis techniques to generate insights and support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Support the delivery of accounting, reporting, and control activities in alignment with business objectives and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Confirmed experience in accounting policy application, financial reporting, and accounting operations.

• Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting requirements.

• Experience conducting business process reviews and implementing improvement in execution initiatives.

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and compliance requirements.

• Experience using analytical tools and digital solutions to drive business insights and operational improvements.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a high attention to detail.

• Advanced financial analysis and data interpretation skills.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and financial controls.

• Strong business process control and continuous improvement mindset.

• Commercial acumen with the ability to balance business needs and compliance requirements.

• High level of digital fluency and proficiency with analytical and reporting tools.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.

• Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.

Work Location & Shift Pattern

Santa Fe, CDMX.

8:00am to 5:00pm

Hybrid, 2 days remote 3 days in the office.
