• Full-time
• 2nd Shift (1:00pm–9:00pm, Monday–Friday, some Saturdays as needed)
• $3,000 annual 2nd shift premium in addition to base salary
• Department: Production – Slice Department
• Location: 1521 Brookfield Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54313

Summary
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is the first level of supervision over production operation. This position is responsible for leading and directing employees to safely and efficiently meet quality and production standards for the assigned department.  The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to motivate and engage employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Provide supervision of employees to ensure effective selection, retention, development, and performance management
2. Conduct annual performance appraisals and new hire evaluations
3. Drive productivity within the department.  Report variances to productivity in a detailed and timely manner
4. Audit machine settings, and housekeeping
5. Engage in production planning, team organization and delegation
6. Provide support and ensure engagement of all team members
7. Complete all paperwork, including work orders, in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Work interdepartmentally (formally/informally,) to improve communication, teamwork, and functionality between departments
9. Proficiently use company ERP and OEE systems
10. Assist in food safety and quality programs
11. Lead the department sanitation and/or pre-operational inspections as required
12. Complete special projects as required
13. Ensure compliance with all safety, company procedures and policies
14. Follow all GMP standards and ensure all employees are in compliance.
15. Maintain a presence on the floor minimum 75% of the time.
16. All other duties as assigned.

Quality Responsibilities

• Has the authority to stop work or escalate concerns when food safety or product quality may be at risk.
• Responsible for day-to-day execution of food safety and quality requirements on the production floor
• Ensures compliance with SOPs, GMPs, food safety and food quality controls, and BRC requirements
• Monitors CCPs and preventive controls and ensures accurate documentation
  Escalates and supports investigation of food safety or quality deviations

Supervisor Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  The individual must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system experience preferred. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred, or two to five years of progressively responsible related experience.  General knowledge of cost-effective manufacturing principles or management; knowledge and experience in planning and supervising operations.
