System Application Engineer Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Knows the application better than anyone — topologies, system architectures, competitive weaknesses, and where IFX products win or lose on merit. Owns the value proposition from evidence to argument. Drives cross‑sell by making the full IFX portfolio visible at system level. Own the value proposition — simulate, measure, and quantify. Efficiency numbers, cost deltas, thermal advantages. Real data, not product catalog claims Own the BOM recommendation — every socket, every product line, documented and deployable by the regional SAE and sales tandem without rework Be proactive — bring topics to the SCT before they are asked for. Surface competitive gaps, new topology trends, and application shifts before the field feels the pain Create collateral that travels — application notes, whitepapers, system comparisons that a regional SAE in China or the US can deploy without calling you first Simulate first, validate second — simulation is the primary tool for generating facts. Own it Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Education Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field  Experience +5 years of relevant industry experience in power electronics, industrial electronics, or system-level design, ideally directly in the field of SST  Proven track record of end-to-end ownership — from concept through validation to customer-facing output  Experience working in or closely with product marketing, application engineering, or technical sales  Exposure to large company processes — able to navigate complexity without losing momentum  Technical Skills Deep understanding of power electronics topologies relevant to the application  Simulation capability — able to generate facts independently using SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent  System-level thinking — able to map a full customer BOM and identify every IFX-relevant socket  Familiarity with MCU, gate driver, sensing, and security considerations at system level — not only power products  Hands-on lab experience — able to design, build, and measure, not only theorize  Soft Skills & Mindset Proactive by default — brings topics to the SCT before being asked; surfaces gaps before the field feels pain  Ownership mentality — does not wait for tasks to be assigned; defines the agenda  Able to explain complex technical topics simply — filters to the essential argument without losing the data behind it  Strong communicator across audiences — customer R&D, management, FAE, product line  Comfortable operating in a matrix organization without direct authority over resources  Languages & Mobility Business-level English mandatory #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
