Solution Architect
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture assessment and technical optimization of the existing in-house web application and its supporting components.
- Perform a comprehensive current-state architecture analysis, covering:
- Application and system design
- End-to-end data flows
- Database structures
- Integration points and interfaces
- Application and infrastructure dependencies
- Assess the existing technology landscape, including Angular, Java, Python Flask, Nginx, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), Oracle LRCF, and the associated data synchronization architecture.
- Define the target solution architecture, including:
- Logical and physical architecture
- Component responsibilities and dependencies
- Interfaces and integration patterns
- Deployment architecture
- Data and integration flows
- Review existing architectural decisions and identify gaps, risks, technical debt, and deviations from architectural standards, providing actionable recommendations and mitigation strategies.
- Review and recommend improvements to authentication and authorization mechanisms, leveraging OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, IAM roles, and FUN groups.
- Ensure a clear separation between administrator and local-user capabilities through appropriate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and authorization models.
- Assess the automated synchronization of model-point data from the Oracle LRCF database to the QUASII database, including data flow, reliability, consistency, monitoring, and failure-handling mechanisms.
- Define architectural solutions to support key non-functional requirements, including:
- 24x7 availability and resilience
- Responsive application performance
- Scalability
- Maintainability and supportability
- Excel compatibility
- Secure data processing and handling
- Update and maintain the Solution Design Document (SDD), ensuring it includes:
- Architecture views and diagrams
- Integration architecture
- NFRs and quality attributes
- Architecture decisions and rationale
- Dependencies and assumptions
- Identified gaps and risks
- Quality scenarios and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate closely with Product, Development, Business, Security, IAM, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and Architecture Governance stakeholders.
- Provide architectural guidance to development and technical teams and ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.
