Position Title: Branch Manager
Department: Retail Banking
Location: Dundee
Branch Hours: Monday- Thursday: 7:45am- 5pm / Friday: 7:45am- 6pm
Classification: Exempt
Reports To: SVP & Retail Banking Administrator
Positions Supervised: Varies depending on branch size
Opportunity
The Branch Manager is a key leader responsible for driving the success of the branch through effective team management, operational oversight, and customer relationship building. This role requires a results-oriented leader who fosters a positive work environment, supports staff growth, and ensures the branch consistently delivers exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise branch staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Drive loan and deposit growth while ensuring adherence to service standards and bank policies.
- Maintain knowledge of bank products, services, and operational procedures.
- Monitor branch performance through daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Manage branch security, including key and access control, vault procedures, and alarms.
- Oversee branch budgeting and financial performance.
- Handle customer escalations, open and maintain relationships, and make business development calls.
- Process loan applications in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other lines of business and bank subsidiaries to maximize customer solutions.
- Support audits, examinations, and compliance initiatives.
- Represent the bank in the community through civic engagement and participation in bank-sponsored events.
- Provide recommendations on operational policies and branch processes to senior management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch and bank goals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible banking experience, including supervisory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of branch operations, lending policies, and customer service.
Skills & Abilities

- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office technology.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Committed to community involvement and representing the bank positively.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of assistant branch managers, CSRs, head tellers, and tellers, including:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Assigning and directing work
- Conducting performance appraisals
- Rewarding and disciplining staff
- Resolving complaints and workplace issues
