VDC Coordinator

LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work®-Certified company, is looking for a VDC Coordinator in Baton Rouge, LA. The VDC Coordinator works closely with field teams and trade partners to facilitate BIM coordination, identify and resolve constructability issues, and support project execution through technology-driven solutions. Responsibilities include developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans, conducting coordination reviews, analyzing model data, supporting field layout and quality control efforts, and utilizing tools such as Revit, Navisworks, laser scanning, drones, and data analytics platforms. This position also serves as a resource for evaluating emerging technologies, providing training, and promoting innovation across project teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primarily supports project teams in the field by coordinating BIM with trade partners during the early phases of construction.
• Periodic travel to job sites to meeting with trades and resolve multi-discipline conflicts.
• Frequent use of platforms such as Navisworks to evaluate clash detections.
• Must have a solid understanding of best practices for setting up and managing BIM Coordination Reviews.
• Responsible for working with project teams to develop and execute BIM Execution Plans.
• Review project specifications and identifying requirements related to BIM.
• Occasional modeling building systems in Revit.
• Laser scanning projects that involve point cloud collection as well as post-processing.
• Assist with model-based layout.
• Conduct drone flights for site documentation and photogrammetry analysis.
• Conduct a QC analysis of the systems that were virtually coordinated when installed.
• Assist project teams with BIM based analytic tools such as Power BI.
• Must be a leader in learning and evaluating new technologies.
• Continuously participate in and lead training efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associate's degree
• Experience as a mechanical designer focusing on building construction.
• Must have fundamental knowledge of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Sprinkler Systems for buildings.
• Some experience with laser scanning equipment and use of point cloud data.
• Willingness to earn an FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot's License.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Ability to work well as a part of a team and independently.
• Proficient with one or more of the following: Autodesk Navisworks, Revit Systems, Revit Architecture, and Auto CAD
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk ReCap, BIM 360, Microsoft Office and Visualization Programs
• Familiar with Trimble Systems, Assemble, Drone Deploy, Power BI and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, Construction Management, Architecture or other related discipline
• Previous BIM/VDC responsibilities
• FAA Part 107 Holder
