Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Intake in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. - Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency responders when appropriate.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with airport operations personnel and public agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
