About the location:

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republic’s natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.

About the Role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, this position will lead daily housekeeping operations and ensure that guest rooms, suites, residences and assigned public areas consistently reflect the exceptional cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail and personalized care expected at Four Seasons.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage daily housekeeping activities, including room cleaning, turndown service, house attendant operations and assigned public and back-of-house areas.
• Participate in pre-opening activities, including room and residence inspections, snagging, operational handover, mock-room exercises and preparation of spaces for opening.
• Support the development and implementation of Housekeeping standard operating procedures, cleaning sequences, inspection standards and departmental controls.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, coach and develop Housekeeping employees, fostering teamwork, accountability and the Golden Rule.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, residences, corridors and assigned public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation and maintenance meet Four Seasons standards.
• Coordinate daily room assignments, staffing and priorities according to occupancy, arrivals, departures, special requests and operational needs.
• Work closely with Front Desk and Guest Experience teams to ensure accurate room status, timely room readiness and personalized preparation for VIP and special-attention guests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns and service opportunities, ensuring appropriate resolution and follow-up.
• Monitor departmental labor, productivity, scheduling, overtime and operating expenses while maintaining quality and employee wellbeing.
• Maintain appropriate inventories and par levels of linen, guest supplies, cleaning products, equipment and other operating items.
• Monitor the correct use, storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and ensure compliance with hygiene, occupational health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance requests with Engineering and follow up to ensure that defects affecting guest comfort, presentation or safety are resolved promptly.
• Ensure effective administration of lost-and-found procedures, keys, master keys, guest belongings and departmental records.
• Conduct regular briefings, training sessions, quality reviews and performance conversations with the Housekeeping team.
• Collaborate with Laundry, Front Office, Engineering, Security, Purchasing and other departments to deliver a seamless guest and resident experience.

What You Bring

• University degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of three to five years of progressive housekeeping experience within a luxury hotel or resort, including previous supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of guest-room cleaning, inspections, turndown service, linen and supply controls, productivity management and occupational safety.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a large operational team while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Spanish and working proficiency in English are required. Experience with a property-management system, work-order platform or housekeeping-management technology is preferred.

Schedule & Hours

• This is a full-time position.
• The successful candidate must be flexible to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and public holidays based on operational needs.
• As the resort operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, scheduled days and hours may vary.

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the Dominican Republic.
