As an Account Manager Sales - Downstream Chemicals - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, supporting refinery chemical process businesses, and driving commercial growth across assigned accounts. You will collaborate with customers, technical teams, and commercial stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure exceptional service execution while supporting customer success and business objectives.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.
As an Account Manager Sales - Downstream Chemicals - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for:
Applying a solid understanding of refinery process operations, utility units, industrial chemical treatment programs, and sales processes to support customer operations and deliver value-driven solutions.
Providing technical troubleshooting support by utilizing strong mechanical aptitude, laboratory experience, and industry knowledge to identify and resolve operational challenges.
Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions to support account growth, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
Communicating effectively with customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders through clear verbal and written communications while delivering technical recommendations and business solutions.
Building long-term strategic relationships with customers by understanding their business requirements, providing account management support, and identifying sales opportunities.
Identifying, coordinating, and collaborating with internal teams to drive projects, technical sales activities, and innovative solutions that bring value to customers.
Leading business reviews and delivering technical presentations to customers, executive leadership, and internal stakeholders.
Managing the day-to-day operations of assigned refinery chemical process accounts, including coordination with technicians and account representatives.
Developing strong working relationships with customers, team members, and stakeholders through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ensuring compliance with Sales and Service Standards across key customer accounts and commercial activities.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have experience in account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role.
Have experience supporting refinery process treatment, downstream chemicals, or related industrial chemical applications.
Have demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage customers and stakeholders effectively.
Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Have the ability to identify opportunities and develop solutions that create value for customers.
Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer activities.
Have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

This role may require schedule flexibility to support customer requirements, business priorities, travel, and commercial activities.
Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
