Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as on-site. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Advanced Technical Center full time.

The Role -

Develop and deliver completed digital models of proposed vehicles and/or vehicle components. This role requires a high level of creativity, technical proficiency, precision, and cross-functional coordination, combining strong modeling expertise with artistic judgment. Work independently with guidance available when needed, applying sound judgment to resolve modeling challenges. Perform assignments individually or as part of a team, making decisions in accordance with established procedures, technical requirements, and design specifications. Provide occasional guidance and instruction to others on digital modeling techniques and processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Creates new and improves existing digital models using AliasStudio
  • Support GM’s global digital modeling teams in delivering high-quality digital model submissions.
  • Understands program timelines and is proactive regarding task completion
  • Adheres to and assists in developing common processes and best practices
  • Demonstrated curve and surface creation capabilities for development of “class A” quality surfacing
  • Knowledge of current trends in design, technology, production methods and materials

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • College degree with a major in Industrial Design, Sculpture, Ceramics, or equivalent experience
  • Completion of recommended corporate training programs
  • Creative proficiency with supporting portfolio
  • Strong understanding and abilities in line, form and surface development
  • Effectively utilizes modeling software
  • Ability to successfully incorporate engineering criteria into a design theme and digital surface
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with other digital sculptors
  • Ability to work with GM team members in different country.
  • Good analytical ability
  • Proficient in Design Center GVDP processes, deliverables, corporate data management and communication systems
  • Good command of English is required.
