We are looking for a responsible and conscientious individual to join our team as a Cleaner.  As a cleaner you will be responsible for ensuring great first impressions of your assigned location through your regular cleaning practices, upholding the company’s established health & safety procedures and assist in maintaining the well-being of all team members and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors

• Cleaning commercial building by emptying trash cans, servicing rest rooms and wiping down communal surfaces

• Ensuring that refuse is disposed of in a timely and responsible manner

• Ensuring stairwells and passageways remain clear and free of debris

• Mixing all cleaning solutions appropriately

• Notifying building management of any damage and or necessary repairs

• Following all health and safety regulations

REQUIREMENTS

• Numerate and literate; Secondary School education would be an asset

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning

• Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, lift repetitively during work hours

• Must be able to tolerate dusty conditions

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals (proper storage and disposal methods)

• Excellent communication skills

• Must have a cheerful disposition

• Self-motivated with the ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision
