Responsibilities
- Perform routine technical tasks in laboratory, office, plant, field, or customer-site environments.
- Participate in training programs covering simulator operations, maintenance, and technical support activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.
- Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving simulator system issues.
- Utilize the maintenance management system to document and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all required training assignments and qualifications.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight simulator checks on assigned devices.
- Conduct basic visual alignments.
- Execute automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
- Support simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
- Comply with CAE's Quality Management System processes and procedures.
- Provide timely customer service support and respond to customer requests.
- Perform housekeeping and maintenance activities required to maintain simulator readiness.
- Support logistics activities, including receipt of parts, repairs, testing, and validation.
- Complete administrative tasks as required.
- Provide operational support to the Technical Services team as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree (2-year technical diploma) in Electronics, Avionics, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years in a related technical field).
- 0 to 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and system schematics.
- Proficiency using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with computer hardware and architecture.
- Experience performing soldering and circuit board repair.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting simulation, aviation, avionics, electronics, or technical equipment environments.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Customer service experience in a technical support environment.
