The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, HR Shared Services to join our Firm. This position will be based in our New York City office (hybrid).
The Senior Data Analyst provides technical support firm-wide, including hiring, status changes, termination, and troubleshooting of system issues. Performs technical and project support for the HR Shared Services team, supports testing of programs during upgrades; identifies areas and business process steps for automation and streamlining; directly supports the HR Shared Services Supervisor and acts as back up in supporting the team and workflow.
- Provides high-level technical support for processing employment data changes, including new hires, status changes, terminations, and time tracking.
- Provides training to new and existing People team professionals on various Workday processes, including hiring and data entry for Business Services Professionals (BSPs) and attorneys.
- Responsible for ensuring integrity of data and completion of tasks.
- Liaises with the Payroll Department to coordinate processing of employee payroll-related transactions.
- Works closely with other departments and collaborates with other teams to troubleshoot and provide solutions to issues.
- Analyzes existing HR data management processes and proposes and implements improvements in methods and procedures. Collaborates with supervisor on proposals.
- Responsible for processing status changes including, but not limited to, office/department transfers, position changes, FTE changes, class treatment/rank code changes, salary adjustments, bonus updates, and allowance plan updates.
- Responsible for supporting data audits (daily, weekly, monthly, annually, and as needed) to facilitate compliance and data accuracy. Responsible for reviewing files/records and associated data entry to ensure accuracy.
- Responsible for assisting pre-employees and terminated workers with access to Employee Self Service.
- Collaborates with non-NY offices to ensure data, records, and pay are accurate.
- Creates, organizes and maintains appropriate documentation on systems and procedures.
- Leads the testing of business processes during Workday new releases and other new configuration testing, as needed.
- Maintains Outlook distribution groups and resolves questions. Manages department special projects.
- Mentors and provides guidance to junior team members on HR Shared Services processes and best practices.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on employee data management workflows and escalation procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of related HR Shared Services experience, including Workday HCM experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Workday HCM and business process set up.
- Knowledge of database structure.
- Skilled at using technology to execute projects.
- Delivers timely and accurate work products, and responds with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Workday, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates close attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
- Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques.
- Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
