Specific Responsibilities Would Include:
Overall Responsibilities Manage end-to-end product development until shipment, ensuring the right quality, vendor selection, pricing, and on-time delivery.• Responsible for product development, costing, and price negotiation to align with market demands and company profit goals.• Monitor the sampling approval process to ensure timely submissions and efficient execution, addressing any arising issues.• Oversee lab dips, bulk fabric colors, and quality submissions against the T&A, as well as approvals for labels and packaging, ensuring compliance with brand standards.• Regularly follow up on work in progress (WIP) to ensure on-time delivery and provide project progress reports.• Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery timelines while maintaining strong partnerships.• Analyze market trends and suggest product improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.• Support ad-hoc projects (such as vendor compliance and documentation management) to ensure smooth execution.• Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs placed for the business stream to meet all commercial KPIs: OTD, lead time, etc.• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:
Additional Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.• 5-8 years of solid experience in merchandising.• Strong creativity, technical capability, and a keen sense of merchandising/design.• Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices.• Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques.• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented and meticulous.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Familiarity with common procurement systems (PLM, Infor Nexus, Inspectorio) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are essential.
