Your Impact 
 

We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop, and deliver scalable software solutions, driving end-to-end implementation across complex cloud-native and on-premises architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Python-based applications and services aligned with Cisco’s Design Thinking Principles.

• Write functional, clean code and unit tests with minimal guidance, enabling scale, reliability, and velocity in product releases.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features that address customer needs.

• Lead small-to-medium features or projects with limited complexity from technical design through completion.

• Utilize AI-powered coding assistants, automation tools, and AI-driven analytics to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and optimize software performance.

• Stay current on industry trends, software development lifecycle, and agile engineering practices; coach others as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge in primary technical job family; proficient with current technologies.

• Proficiency in Python programming and related frameworks.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, secure coding practices, and best practices.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience leveraging AI tools for coding assistance, automated testing, and code quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications : 

• Experience with Cisco technologies or networking concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of automation tools and APIs.

• Understanding of AI development platforms, AI infrastructure, and AI-powered workflow automation.

• Experience with AI-driven troubleshooting and intelligent automation tools.
