As an approved Line Maintenance Manager (Form 4 Holder), you’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians and make sure all work on the CH-47F (GE) is done correctly and on time. You’ll follow manufacturer guidance and CAMO (CAMOBw) requirements, and keep the team aligned with DEMAR 145 rules from the German Military Aviation Authority (LufABw) and Boeing Deutschland GmbH’s maintenance procedures. You’ll also ensure a safe working environment by applying occupational health and safety standards and human factors best practices.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Regulatory Responsibility: You will act as the Form 4 holder (Nominated Line Maintenance Manager) toward the German Military Aviation Authority (LufABw) as the competent aviation authority.

• Site Operations Management: You lead, coordinate, and are responsible for all line maintenance operations at the site and, if required, at outside facilities.

• Compliance & Auditing: You ensure seamless compliance with all DEMAR 145 and other relevant military and civil aviation regulations, the maintenance organization exposition (MOE), as well as applicable health, safety, and environmental protection regulations.

• Resource & Shift Planning: You efficiently and effectively manage the deployment of personnel (certifying staff, technicians) within the maintenance teams — including any subcontractors — tools, and materials to ensure smooth operations across a regular 5-day workweek, and beyond if required.

• Aircraft Availability: In close coordination with the CAMO and the operator LTG 64, you ensure the punctual, safe, and compliant Release to Service of aircraft for daily flight operations at the site and, if applicable, at outside facilities.

• Stakeholder Management: Reporting directly to the Accountable Manager of the Part 145 organization, you work closely with him/her, the CAMO, internal quality and safety management, as well as the operator LTG 64.

• Safety Culture: You actively promote and monitor the operational Safety Management System (SMS) and compliance with Human Factors principles.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience): 

• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

• Professional Experience: 6+ years of total work experience in an MRO or OEM organisation within the aerospace/aviation or defense industry, preferably working on helicopters. 

• Expert Knowledge: Deep knowledge of EASA / EMAR regulations (Parts 145, 66, CAMO, 21) and other relevant military aviation regulations, as well as operational, occupational health, safety and environmental protection regulations

• Security Clearance: Willingness to undergo a security clearance check (at least Ü2 level according to the German Security Clearance Act / SÜG) is strictly mandatory

• Advanced proficiency in English (B2 level or higher)

• Intermediate German (B1 or higher)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): 

• Leadership Skills & Working Style: You are a seasoned leader with appropriate assertiveness, strong decision-making skills, and high safety awareness. You possess excellent communication and interactive skills alongside a pragmatic "hands-on mentality" that perfectly fits your team of 15 employees

• Certification: Currently hold a DEMAR Part-66 B1.3 or B2 license

• Education: Degree in engineering or at least a Master Craftsman (Meister) qualification. A willingness to undergo intensive training on the CH-47F (GE) weapon system is mandatory

• Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of leadership responsibility within an EASA / EMAR / DEMAR 145 or equivalent organization, ideally in a comparable management role

• Eligibility for Approval: After start - full compliance with all prerequisites for nomination as "Form 4" personnel by the German Military Aviation Authority (LufABw)

Als Instandhaltungsleiter & Form-4-Inhaber führen Sie ein Team von Instandhaltungstechnikerinnen und -technikern und stellen sicher, dass alle Arbeiten an der CH-47F GE ordnungsgemäß und termingerecht durchgeführt werden. Sie befolgen die Vorgaben des Herstellers sowie die Anforderungen der CAMO CAMOBw und stellen sicher, dass das Team die DEMAR-145-Vorschriften der deutschen militärischen Luftfahrtbehörde LufABw sowie die Instandhaltungsverfahren der Boeing Deutschland GmbH einhält. Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören unter anderem:

• Regulatorische Verantwortung: Sie fungieren gegenüber der deutschen militärischen Luftfahrtbehörde LufABw als Form-4-Inhaber/in benannte/r Verantwortliche/r für die Linienwartung.

• Management des Standortbetriebs: Sie leiten, koordinieren und verantworten sämtliche Linienwartungsaktivitäten am Standort sowie bei Bedarf an externen Einrichtungen.

• Compliance und Audits: Sie stellen die lückenlose Einhaltung aller DEMAR-145-Vorschriften sowie anderer relevanter militärischer und ziviler Luftfahrtvorschriften, des Instandhaltungsbetriebshandbuchs MOE und der geltenden Vorschriften zum Gesundheits-, Arbeits- und Umweltschutz sicher.

• Ressourcen- und Schichtplanung: Sie steuern den Einsatz des Personals Zertifizierungspersonal und Techniker/innen innerhalb der Instandhaltungsteams einschließlich etwaiger Subunternehmer sowie der Werkzeuge und Materialien effizient und effektiv, um einen reibungslosen Betrieb während einer regulären Fünf-Tage-Woche und bei Bedarf darüber hinaus sicherzustellen.

• Verfügbarkeit der Luftfahrzeuge: In enger Abstimmung mit der CAMO und dem Betreiber LTG 64 stellen Sie die pünktliche, sichere und regelkonforme Wiederfreigabe der Luftfahrzeuge für den täglichen Flugbetrieb am Standort sowie gegebenenfalls an externen Einrichtungen sicher.

• Stakeholder-Management: Als direkte/r Berichtende/r an den Accountable Manager der Part-145-Organisation arbeiten Sie eng mit diesem bzw. dieser, der CAMO, dem internen Qualitäts- und Sicherheitsmanagement sowie dem Betreiber LTG 64 zusammen.

• Sicherheitskultur: Sie fördern und überwachen aktiv das operative Safety Management System SMS sowie die Einhaltung der Human-Factors-Grundsätze.

Basisqualifikationen (erforderliche Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen)

• Mindestens ein Jahr Erfahrung in einer Führungsrolle Teamleitung, kommissarische Managementfunktion, groß angelegte funktionsübergreifende Projekt- oder Programmleitung oder formale Managementerfahrung oder erfolgreicher Abschluss des Boeing-internen Kurses „Exploring Leadership“

• Berufserfahrung: Mindestens sechs Jahre Berufserfahrung in einer MRO- oder OEM-Organisation innerhalb der Luft- und Raumfahrt-, Luftfahrt- oder Verteidigungsindustrie, vorzugsweise im Bereich Hubschrauber

• Fachkenntnisse: Umfassende Kenntnisse der EASA-/EMAR-Vorschriften Parts 145, 66, CAMO und 21 sowie anderer relevanter Vorschriften der militärischen Luftfahrt und der betrieblichen Vorschriften zum Gesundheits-, Arbeits- und Umweltschutz

• Führungserfahrung: Mindestens drei Jahre Führungserfahrung innerhalb einer EASA-/EMAR-/DEMAR-145- oder gleichwertigen Organisation, idealerweise in einer vergleichbaren Managementposition
