Management Level:
Class 0Candidates will apply to Refrigeration mechanic position. This position is to maintain general mechanical maintenance to all refrigeration, boiler systems, air compressor, flotation/main lift stations and hot water systems in the facility: All maintenance activities on the plant site including but not limited to, Preventive Maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair all systems required.
Refrigeration Mechanic position could work in any area of the plant, Processing or Slaughter.
The successful candidate(s)must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting and reaching are required. Duties could include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; climbing up and down stairs and ladders; Lifting is required in many areas (up to 70 pounds). Successful completion of a respiratory physical will be necessary. These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Prefer High School Graduate or equivalent. College or technical school a plus; Prefer Tyson Maintenance Training Level 6 or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Prefer 2 years minimum experience within industrial maintenance field or technical related background. Ammonia and refrigeration experience or education preferred.
Candidates must possess a good work record; less than 5 attendance points at the time of this posting and no disciplines greater than counseling within the last 12 months.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
