Position Overview
Hospitality Health ER is seeking a Myotherapist / Massage Therapist to join our Longview team.
The Myotherapist / Massage Therapist will provide professional massage therapy services while maintaining a comfortable, respectful, and patient-centered environment. This role combines massage therapy with Hospitality Health ER's commitment to exceptional hospitality and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy services using appropriate techniques and modalities based on patient needs.
- Create a comfortable, welcoming, and patient-centered experience for every patient.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with patients, visitors, physicians, and team members.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their comfort, needs, and concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals as appropriate regarding patient needs and care.
- Utilize massage techniques, modalities, and approved massage devices as appropriate.
- Help anticipate and respond to patient needs throughout their visit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked massage area and patient spaces.
- Assist with stocking and maintaining common areas, patient rooms, and other areas of the facility as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies needed for daily operations.
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities, including cleaning, stocking, and organizing.
- Provide a warm welcome and exceptional hospitality to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Report safety concerns, unusual occurrences, or policy violations to the appropriate supervisor.
- Support the team with additional duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current Massage Therapist License issued by TDLR.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous customer service or patient-care experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing patient and department needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Professional appearance and personal hygiene consistent with company standards.
