Summary

PaperWorks is seeking a Stock Prep Assistant to assist the Stock Prep Superintendent with the leadership, direction and resources necessary to safely and effectively manage the Stock Prep Department. 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee supervision of Raw Stock Department
  • Drives standard work through all areas of the Stock Prep Department
  • Assists in root cause analyses and formation of corrective action plans to solve operational problems
  • Assists maintenance supervisors in investigating, diagnosing, and evaluating major equipment malfunctions and develop methods and procedures to improve operating efficiency of Stock Prep equipment
  • Supervises inventory control of daily receipts and consumption of raw materials.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and performance evaluation of Stock Prep policies and procedures consistent and in collaboration with other facility/departments and governing laws and regulations
  • Supports Best Practices (BDP’s) to be utilized throughout the Stock Prep department
  • Ensure hourly employees are managed through the proper utilization and interpretation of the labor agreement
  • Investigates and evaluates opportunities to improve department operations
  • Performs duties as deemed necessary by the Stock prep Superintendent

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • High School or GED,  BS, BA, or other comparable certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Able to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
