Overview
This role represents a great opportunity to start in a new team with exciting potential whilst also working alongside a large and well-established Professional Risks team in the UK and Cyber team in the US.
The successful candidate will be provided with a structured development plan which will focus on the core capabilities of the role. There is an expectation of progression within this position as the team grows.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite profitable cyber insurance risks for SME / Mid-Market business clients (risks up to £100m revenue), including all tasks associated with risk and coverage analysis such as pricing and contract negotiations and in line with our underwriting strategy and guidelines.
- Deliver great service to brokers. Supporting the development of the Cyber product and proposition in the UK through broker engagement, both virtually and in-person.
- Identify new opportunities to expand through pro-active business development and building strong relationships with Brokers. This involves physical visitation to brokers, analysis of broker production, and delivering benchmarks and metrics to broker partners.
- Promote TMHCCI’s cyber capabilities in client and broker meetings, conferences and market events and establishing TMHCCI as a reliable, responsible and knowledgeable partner.
- Write new business, renewals, (both open market & online referrals) as well as also supporting the Professional Risks Underwriters with Cyber policies and opportunities.
Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential:
- Extensive experience of underwriting Cyber business, either standalone Cyber or alongside PI.
- Demonstrated business development skills as well as technical underwriting knowledge.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship skills.
- High degree of accuracy and diligence.
Desirable:
- ACII qualification or looking to progress towards this.
- Strong presence within and strong understanding of the SME Cyber Market.
