About our property:

  The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. What you will have an opportunity to do:

McArthur's is named after the resort's architectural inspirations serving New American cuisine with hints of the Sonoran Desert delivering a creative fusion of meticulously sourced ingredients brought from farm to table in a menu of comforting delight.  

As a Host/Hostess, you would be responsible for greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, monitoring the restaurant maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu.

  • Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management.

  • Maintain proper set-up of dining room and enforce uniform and grooming standards of all service personnel on a daily basis.  Assign stations to service staff.

  • Conduct daily "roll call meetings" to keep staff informed of current promotions, daily specials, guest comments, daily events and pertinent memos.

  • Receive, record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.

  • Perform opening and closing duties.  Assist others with side work to include cleaning, stocking, and folding napkins.

This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The restaurant's hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday from 7am-10pm and Friday & Saturday from 7am-11pm.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 6-months of customer service experience

  • Prior Restaurant Host / Hostess experience, preferred

  • Upscale restaurant experience, preferred

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

  • Food Handler’s Card – can be obtained post hire

  • CPR and First Aid Certification, preferred.
