Description
Your future starts here
You are passionate about data, artificial intelligence, and technology, and you want to understand how technology decisions are made across a large organisation. As an Associate Enterprise Data Architect, you will join Swisscom’s Data Architecture team and work alongside experienced architects and business leaders. Architects connect business objectives with technology decisions across systems, business processes, and organisational units. Unlike a role focused on developing a single application, this position gives you a broader perspective: You will contribute to enterprise-wide data models, and architecture principles, and will help teams make well-founded and consistent decisions about data, APIs, artificial intelligence, platforms, and governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to turn state-of-the-art concepts from data architecture and artificial intelligence into solutions that deliver measurable impact across one of Switzerland's most complex technology environments.
- Learn from experienced architects while contributing to enterprise-wide data models, APIs, and governance frameworks.
- Influence strategic technology decisions that shape Swisscom's data, AI, and digital transformation journey.
- Develop tools, reference implementations, templates, and reusable developer artefacts that help engineering teams adopt our data, API, AI, and architecture standards.
- Design the foundations that enable innovative products, intelligent automation, and data-driven business capabilities at enterprise scale.
Your Skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, completed within the last three years or expected within the next six months.
- Strong hands-on experience of modern AI-based development, agentic systems, data modelling, and software architecture principles, gained through practical projects.
- Collaborative team player with an affinity for building trusted relationships across teams and organizational boundaries.
- Ability to look beyond coding and implementation details to understand the broader business, architectural, and strategic implications of technology decisions.
- Clear communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to prepare structured material for different audiences.
- Basic knowledge of data governance and enterprise architecture with the ability to apply methodologies pragmatically in real-world environments.
- Curiosity and growth mindset with a strong willingness to learn, challenge assumptions, and continuously develop new capabilities.
- Get things done mindset that is not afraid to take ownership and drive change autonomously.
