Your Assignment at a Glance 

A Buyer, under the leadership of the Supply Chain Manager, will support the ASG mission to provide customers with innovative, high-quality products delivered on-time and at competitive prices. Through the application of procurement and planning best practices, the Buyer will manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and ensure the timely flow of materials and components in support of ASG production. The Buyer will (1) execute to documented procurement process; (2) follow procurement and stocking strategies as set by the Supply Chain Manager; (3) develop & maintain supplier relationships; (4) track incoming shipments and predict arrival of raw materials and components, and (5) identify/present opportunities for savings, and continuous 

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain supplier relationships and follow procurement strategies set forth by the Supply Chain Manager

2. Perform duties that align with ASG's business objectives, Friedkin Core Values, and guidelines for business conduct.

3. Maintain the end-to-end procurement processes including supplier orders, invoicing, ASG receipts, and inventory of raw materials and components.

4. Maintain consistency of system pricing throughout the value chain.

5. Maintain visibility of supplier production rates, raw materials, and stock levels

6. Assist Supplier production planning to align with ASG forecasting and rate of materials consumption

7. Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance supply with demand while minimizing excess stock.

8. Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions in favor of ASG

9. Implement and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and report to supply chain management.

10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

11. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ASG policies in all procurement activities.

12. Identify and mitigate procurement risks through proactive planning and problem-solving.

13. Perform sourcing activities in support of organizational priorities both within, and outside of the ASG supply base.

 

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by a Contractor to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the Contractor is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The Contractor is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The Contractor must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
