Spot RWA Calculation and Analysis Senior Analyst
Join Citi's Finance Organization as a Spot RWA Calculation and Analysis Senior Analyst, where you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the firm's Risk Weighted Asset calculations and regulatory capital reporting. Sitting within the Capital Calculations and Reporting team, this role carries high visibility across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology functions. You will apply Basel regulatory expertise to protect the firm's compliance posture while driving continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and submit Basel RWA reports in line with US regulatory requirements, maintaining end-to-end integrity of results and the underlying processes that produce them.
- Apply Basel III subject matter expertise to evaluate business initiatives, new product offerings, and evolving regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance across all relevant activities.
- Assess RWA outputs to identify discrepancies, respond to regulatory inquiries, and address queries from lines of business with clarity and accuracy.
- Engage cross-functionally with business, technology, and operations stakeholders to remove execution barriers and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of re‐porting obligations.
- Partner with the Risk and Controls team to maintain and strengthen the internal controls framework governing capital reporting processes.
- Evaluate data architecture and reporting processes for conformance with regulatory rules, proactively identifying and resolving issues at their source.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on regulatory reporting and capital calculation within a banking environment.
- Knowledge of Basel III capital rules, including RWA calculation methodologies and their application to regulatory reporting.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations, synthesize information from multiple sources, and build consistent, repeatable reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify data conflicts, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into accessible insights for senior and non-specialist audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality outcomes as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Experience with change management or program management in a regulatory or finance reporting context.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills for data querying, analysis, validation, and supporting analytical workflows within reporting environments.
- Exposure to Management Information Systems (MIS) and management reporting tools used in regulatory or capital reporting functions.
- Strategic planning capability, with experience translating forward-looking regulatory developments into actionable process improvements.
