Description:
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support day-to-day warehouse operations in Seattle. This is a customer-facing, hands-on warehouse position working in a manual inventory management environment. The Warehouse Associate will pick, pack, and ship customer orders utilizing a warehouse management system, receive and put away stock and drop-ship orders, perform basic inventory practices, and maintain an organized warehouse environment.
This person must be able to balance and appropriately prioritize concurrent tasks. The role will also serve as a backup delivery driver when needed. A company box truck is available at the warehouse, and the employee must be insurable to operate the company vehicle. The employee will also need to be able to access military bases as required.
The position is primarily based in the warehouse with no regular travel to other warehouse locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations; however, such duties will be reasonable, job-related, and consistent with the scope, level, and classification of the position.
Essential Functions:
- Receive and put away all stock and drop-ship orders
- Utilize the warehouse management system to support warehouse and inventory activity
- Perform basic inventory practices
- Support counting and inventory activities with a strong focus on attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Write up and report returns to the Inside Sales group for restocking
- Serve as a backup delivery driver if the primary driver is unavailable
- Make deliveries using the company box truck when needed
- Maintain insurability to operate the company vehicle
- Be able to access military bases as required
- Safely perform warehouse activities in accordance with applicable safety and OSHA requirements
- Balance and appropriately prioritize concurrent tasks
- Support customer-facing warehouse activities as needed
- Work full-time onsite in a warehouse environment in Seattle, WA
- Work in a manual inventory management warehouse environment
- Operate a forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
- Pull products from elevated locations utilizing ladders, mobile stairs, and forklifts
- Climb ladders and stair
- Work from elevated platforms and locations
- Lift up to 50 lbs. The intake requirements indicate the ability to lift at least 70 lbs
- Under 1/3 of the time, the role may require lifting over 100 lbs
- Safely perform warehouse activities in accordance with applicable safety and OSHA requirements
- Operate a company box truck when serving as the backup delivery driver
- Must be insurable to operate the company vehicle
- Must be able to access military bases as required
Required Experience:
- Warehouse experience
- Strong attention to detail, especially with counting and inventory
- Must be able to serve as a back-up delivery driver if the delivery driver calls in sick
- Must be insurable to drive the company vehicle / box truck
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work on an elevated platform
- Prior forklift and pallet jack experience. If hired, the associate would be recertified
- Must be able to get on a military base
Preferred Experience:
- HVAC/parts experience is not required; warehouse experience is more important
