Activity Aide

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents. In this role, you will assist in planning and facilitating engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and rotating on the weekends once a month.  Fulltime employees receive an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, vacation time, sick days, 403b match and daily lunch allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities

- Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort

- Foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere that encourages socialization and engagement

- Maintain activity supplies and ensure the activity area is clean and organized

- Document residents' participation and provide feedback to the activity coordinator

- Collaborate with staff and family members to develop personalized activity plans

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in activity planning, senior care, or related fields preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Creative, patient, and empathetic nature

- Ability to assist residents as needed

- Knowledge of safety procedures and infection control practices
