This position provides direct supervision to social workers within the Adult Intervention Team who manage programs for elderly and disabled adults. Staff responsibilities include investigating reports of elder abuse and neglect, managing adult protective services cases, and providing enhanced care services for rest home residents. The supervisor leads the licensing, monitoring, and assessment of rest homes and family care homes to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance. Supervisory and administrative duties include workflow coordination, case assignment, training implementation, and ensuring high-quality work performance. The role also involves overseeing proper program implementation, extensive community involvement, assisting with staff selection, conducting performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions. Additionally, the supervisor conducts staff meetings, attends state and local meetings, and completes other duties assigned by the Director. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team setting while maintaining cooperative relationships with staff, agency leadership, and community partners. Strong oral and written communication, sharp organizational skills, intermediate computer proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and dependable transportationMaster’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a master’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERENCES: Prefer applicants with job related experience in a Department of Social Services; experience in services to disabled adults and senior citizens, and supervisory experience.
